Final review: evidence, judgment & exam readiness
Learning objectives
- Evaluate your practice against observable criteria.
- Distinguish a strong answer from a superficially polished one.
- Confirm eligibility and prepare for a current examination.
The final module is a structured review of Training Director License. Use it to find gaps before you sit the examination. The purpose is not to memorize a particular sentence. You should be able to apply the same principles to a new situation, explain why a tempting shortcut fails, and leave an accurate record of what happened.
Review your portfolio against four criteria
Read your capstone and lab responses without changing them first. For each criterion below, mark “clear,” “partial,” or “missing” in your own notes. A clear response supplies a concrete action and its reason. A partial response names the principle but does not show how it changes the decision. A missing response does not address the criterion or contradicts it.
- Use the correct authority and published criteria.
- Separate established facts from claims and uncertainty.
- Explain a proportionate decision and its consequences.
- Assign follow-up and communicate the current outcome.
Calibrate your judgment
Compare these statements: “I would handle it professionally,” “I would check the rule,” and “I would identify the current published rule, compare it with the established facts, and ask the authorized owner to resolve the remaining exception.” The first gives no observable action. The second identifies a useful step but leaves its purpose unclear. The third explains what information is needed and who owns the unresolved decision.
Apply the same distinction to your own program. Outcomes, teaching & assessment alignment requires a concrete decision, not a claim that you are confident or experienced. Choose one weak sentence from your practice and rewrite it so another person could understand what you would actually do. Then check that the revised action stays inside the role and the facts supplied.
Prepare for scenario-based questions
Read the situation before looking for familiar wording in the choices. Identify the decision owner, established facts, participant agreement, and missing information. Eliminate answers that assume an uncompleted step, overstate authority, conceal uncertainty, or treat a message as an accepted handoff. Among the remaining choices, select the response that addresses the specific problem rather than a general good intention.
An answer can sound calm and still be incomplete. For example, asking everyone to be respectful does not resolve which policy version applies. Writing a longer note does not establish who accepted responsibility. Match the action to the actual gap in the scenario. The course is open book, so revisit the relevant explanation if you cannot explain your choice.
Complete the entry checklist
Record all 8 modules as complete and check that the listed prerequisite credentials remain active. License examinations have 20 questions with 16 correct required to pass. Certification assessments have 10 questions with 8 correct required. You can move between questions and review all selections before submission. Unsubmitted answers are lost when you leave or reload the examination page.
A failed attempt creates a ten-minute review interval. Use that interval to revisit your weakest portfolio criterion and the worked cases instead of repeatedly selecting new answers. A pass issues or renews a credential under the current renewal rules. Existing active credentials are not automatically replaced just because you complete additional study.
Maintain the qualification after passing
Keep the recovery code for your academy account private and share only the credential number or public verification link when proving a qualification. Check the expiry date before using the credential as a prerequisite for another program. Renewal opens 30 days before expiry and requires the current learning completion and examination.
Continue using the same decision and documentation habits in future roleplay. A knowledge test is a snapshot of your answers, not a promise that every later decision will be correct. If your group has additional practical assessment, identity verification, or role-selection requirements, complete those separately through its authorized process.
Make the next decision
A learner's response looks polished but says a task is complete even though no receiving participant accepted it. How should you review it?
Reveal the model response & reasoning
Response: Identify the missing acceptance, revise the completion claim to the actual pending status, and add a clear next owner or agreed pause.
Why: Presentation quality cannot replace evidence that the required step occurred. A reliable record must match the state of the work.
Independent practice
Revise the weakest part of your portfolio, then write a 100-word explanation of the improvement. List any remaining questions and revisit the relevant module before beginning the exam.
Write your response in your own notes before reading on. Compare the action you chose, the information you preserved, and who owns the next step with the worked example. This practice is self-reviewed and is not submitted for marking.
Before you continue
- Can you justify an answer using the facts rather than its tone?
- Have all eight modules and required credentials been completed?
- Do you understand submission, retake, and renewal rules?
Check your understanding
Practice does not affect your exam score or issue a credential.
