REFERENCE / CORE TERMSRoleplay glossary
Shared language for learning, records, and staff decisions.
- Acknowledgment
- A reply showing that a message was received and understood. It is not always acceptance of responsibility; clarify what the receiver is agreeing to do.
- Active credential
- An issued MHCLP record whose status is active and whose expiry date has not passed.
- Capstone
- An exercise combining several course principles into one complete response. These portfolio exercises are self-reviewed.
- Credential prerequisite
- An earlier qualification that must remain active before you open and submit a dependent examination.
- Decision owner
- The person authorized by the group to make a particular decision. Advice, seniority, and confidence do not automatically create this authority.
- Delegation
- An agreed transfer of a defined task within the authority of the people involved, with an owner and a completion condition.
- Evidence
- Information relevant to a decision. Distinguish direct observation, a reported claim, an interpretation, and a missing fact.
- Exception
- An authorized departure from a usual rule for a defined situation. State its reason, scope, and review or end point.
- Handoff
- A transfer of relevant context and a next task to a receiving participant who understands and accepts their role.
- Open-book assessment
- An assessment in which learners may consult the course. It still requires their own decisions and answers.
- Policy version
- The identified current form of a rule or procedure, including when it applies and who maintains it.
- Proportionate response
- A response justified by the applicable rule, established behavior, context, and the group’s authorized process.
- Reported fact
- Information someone says occurred. Record its source and distinguish it from something independently established.
- Roleplay license
- An MHCLP role-focused qualification awarded through learning and a knowledge exam. It does not grant real medical licensure or Roblox permissions.
- Rubric
- A set of observable criteria for reviewing work consistently. The portfolio rubrics here support self-review.
- Scope
- The responsibilities and boundaries agreed for a role, task, or scene.
- Superseded record
- An earlier version that has been replaced. Keep its context distinguishable from the current instruction.
- Uncertainty
- A relevant detail that is not yet established. State what remains unknown and how it affects the next decision.
